Where is Hearth & Vine located, and is there parking nearby?

Hearth & Vine is located in the heart of Portland’s historic Pearl District at 10 NW 12th Ave (at the corner of NW 12th and W Burnside Street), nestled within the iconic Brewery Blocks building. Metered street parking is available throughout the neighborhood, and multiple public parking garages—including the Brewery Blocks Garage right beneath us—are within a one-block walk. For detailed directions, visit our Hours & Location page.

What are nearby public transit options?

We are exceptionally well-connected to Portland's transit grid. The Portland Streetcar (NS Line and A/B Loops) stops right outside our door on 11th and 12th Avenues. We are also just three blocks from the MAX Light Rail station at SW 10th & Morrison, providing direct connections across the metro area and to Portland International Airport (PDX).

Do you have partnerships with nearby hotels for room blocks?

While we do not manage room blocks directly, we work closely with nearby boutique and luxury hotels in the Pearl District and Downtown Portland—including The Mark Spencer Hotel and The Nines. Our event management team can share direct contacts for group sales departments upon request.

What is your proximity to Portland Center Stage at The Armory and local event hubs?

We are located just two blocks from Portland Center Stage at The Armory and steps from Powell's City of Books and the Crystal Ballroom. This makes Hearth & Vine the premier Pearl District venue for pre-show dinners, post-theater cocktail receptions, corporate breakout dining, and VIP gatherings. Event Menus, Dining & Venue Logistics

What type of cuisine is served for private events?

Our culinary team crafts customized banquet and event menus featuring elevated New American and Pacific Northwest cuisine, centered around New American cuisine and the local bounties of the Pacific Northwest. Dishes feature fresh local ingredients from Oregon purveyors, complemented by handcrafted cocktails and an extensive list of regional, Oregon and international wines. Preview our offerings in our Private Event Brochure.

Do you allow outside catering?

To maintain our culinary standards and food safety protocols, all food and beverage must be provided directly by Hearth & Vine. The only exception is custom specialty cakes or desserts from licensed commercial bakeries (subject to additional fees).

Do you offer custom menus and wine pairings?

Yes. We offer customizable multi-course plated dinners, plated and family-style feasts, passed hors d’oeuvres, and curated wine pairings from our extensive wine list. Our team can work with you to tailor beverage selections to your budget and palate.

Do you offer tastings?

Menu tastings are available upon request for full restaurant buyouts and large-scale wedding receptions once a contract and deposit are secured. Tastings must be scheduled at least 30 days prior to your event date.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions and food allergies for large groups?

Absolutely. Our kitchen team handles gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan, and nut-free dietary needs with care. We request that all guest dietary requirements be submitted to your event coordinator at least 7 business days prior to your gathering.

Is there a food and beverage minimum to book a private space at Hearth & Vine?

Yes. We utilize a food and beverage minimum model rather than a flat room rental fee. Minimums vary based on the specific space selected, day of the week, and time of day (lunch, happy hour, or dinner). Submitting an inquiry via our Contact Us Form will get you a tailored quote.

AV, Decor & Planning Policies

Do you have any AV capabilities?

We offer commercial high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the restaurant. For audiovisual needs such as wireless microphones, projection screens, monitors, or presentation feeds, we work with preferred local Portland AV partners to coordinate rentals and technical support.

Do you have preferred vendors?

Yes. We maintain a curated list of trusted local vendors for floral design, specialized lighting/decor, event photography, and transportation. You are also welcome to bring your own insured vendors.

Do you allow decorations? What restrictions are there?

We encourage personalized touches like floral arrangements, tabletop centerpieces, freestanding signage, and corporate branding materials.

Decor Restrictions: To protect our historic brick, natural wood finishes, and interior fixtures, confetti, glitter, wall tape/adhesives, and open, uncontained flames are strictly prohibited. All candle flames must be fully enclosed in glass hurricane holders.

What is your cancellation policy?

Deposits submitted to hold event dates are non-refundable. Cancellations made more than 30 business days prior to the event date forfeit the initial deposit only. Cancellations occurring within shorter timeframes are subject to a percentage of the estimated total cost, as outlined in your customized private event contract.
